Toronto Zoo Day

Before beginning second year of med school, we decided to end summer with a bang by going to the Toronto Zoo. I feel so spoiled, in a good way, that I've had Robbie around this summer. We spent quality time with both of our families and had the past three weeks home before school. Since being back in town he has been gone half the time doing research/church calling which was good preparation for being a single mom again... Okay it's not that bad but during school it does feel like every moment together is rushed because studying doesn't end...
But anyway, because he has been around lots for the past few weeks we have had some awesome quality time as a family. Each free day we have tried to so something new!!
This area has lots to explore. We've been to the beach a few times and about a dozen new parks throughout Mississauga. We love this area. I personally love how multicultural it is here. I meet people from all over the world everywhere I go. Constantly I'm hearing foreign and families (Slavic) languages.
The first year living here FLEW by and I've decided I'm not gonna let the next three be weighed down with feeling sorry for myself for living so far from family. We chose this and we are gonna continue to love our choice!
So let's do this!!!

Some more pics from the Zoo!!

happy blessing day, Maddie!

Such a special day that we will always treasure. I'm thankful for this sweet family of mine. Each of them bring me tons of joy. Life is so good right now.

Thanks to Jarah Weston for capturing these sweet moments

Happy Easter smiles

Madelyn started consistently smiling for us on Easter. She particularly liked giving her daddy those smiles... I can already see that relationship starting to form. Pretty sweet. He calls her his beautiful girl. She has been much more sweet the past week since getting through her colicky few weeks of screaming for hours each night.

Our first family photo with Madelyn (besides the hospital of course)
We are so grateful for the Savior and that our family can be eternal because of what He did.

Grant is 18 months!

Probably the only half bday we will ever celebrate like this, but hey... Happy 18 months to you, Little Grant!
Glad our "family" could join us in Mississauga. McD cheeseburgers and vanilla cones are Grant's new favorite!

My little hunk...

This kid's hair grows so fast. He had it cut about a month ago. He takes after his daddy in that way. We also noticed he gets the same bed head as Robbie with a tuft of hair on the back, right side. Funny kid!
